To the Membership
of
UAW Local 2195,
On behalf of my family and myself I would like to express my thanks to
everyone for the calls, visits, cards and prayers that I have received
during my illness. Your expressions of concern have been of great comfort
to my family and me during this difficult time. I am currently recuperating
at home.
The past couple years have been somewhat of a challenge for me as I have
faced cancer. However, the love and commitment of my family and friends
have made the ordeal easier to bare. Through this experience I have been
reminded that God has a plan for each of us and there is a reason for
everything we face. I am thankful that our Lord has spared my life to
this time and am thankful for the peace we each can know in our salvation
through his love.
The past couple years have been difficult for each of us as well dealing
with the Delphi bankruptcy. While the events around this issue have been
frustrating, I have learned there are things of greater importance. Our
health, family and salvation are things we should never take for granted.
I know these times are hard, but we must stick together. It is only through
solidarity that we can see our way through the current issue.
In closing, again I would like each of you to know how thankful I am to
have union brothers and sisters such as you to support me through these
hard days. I keep each of you in my thoughts and prayers and would encourage
each of you to keep your faith in God as we continue to work our way through
the bankruptcy situation.
In Solidarity,
Tim Letson
