UAW Local 2195 employee Joe Borden will be retiring on December 22, 2006. Joe is the maintenance technician for the union hall and has worked for Local 2195 for 22.5 years. Joe has held is current position since the union hall was finished in 1984.

He and wife Judy live Decatur and have four children and twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. “I have had a good time working for the local,” Joe states. “I have no regrets this has been a good job.” Joe spent 14 years in the Army and Navy before coming to work for Local 2195, including a 3.5 year stint in Vietnam.

Joe doesn’t plan on totally retiring, and hopes to find a part time job to occupy his time. Good luck and congratulations to Joe Borden!
