| You may have
noticed lately that I haven’t been on site. I recently was diagnosed
with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma,
which is a cancer of the lymphatic system. Other testing has determined
that it has spread to my bone marrow. At this time I am waiting on further
test results to see which direction to take on treatment. Once these results
are in I will sit down with my family and decide which course of action
is the best way to go. In the mean time I have begun chemotherapy in Huntsville.
I can’t begin to tell each of you how much I appreciate
the calls, cards, visits and especially the prayers I have received. The
folks of the Alabama Site are like a big extended family, and I have really
understood this in the past few days.
The doctors have informed me this is an aggressive illness
and they plan on addressing it aggressively. It will be a fight, but I
am thick skinned and determined to beat this with the help of the Lord.
It is my goal to walk through those doors and rejoin my brothers and sisters
on the Alabama Site as soon as I can.
These are trying times for everyone, with all the uncertain
about the business and the future of Delphi. But, I am finding that if
we keep our priorities straight and place our faith in God he will take
care of things. I really appreciate the prayers and I would ask you to
please continue to pray not just for me, but everyone on site who is currently
going through hard times. There are many who are dealing with illnesses
in the life, or other personal issues that weigh upon their souls. Pray
for each person who has a struggle and pray for the future of the site.
I am optimistic about my future and have placed it all
in God’s hands. I am blessed with three children, a wonderful wife,
two caring brothers and many friends and loved ones to support me. I have
peace within me that whatever happens will be God’s will.
Thank you again for your support and I ask for your continued
support in the days ahead. You are all never far from my thoughts and
prayers. I can never thank you enough for all that you have done and ask
for your continued prayers and support over the next few weeks.
I Love Each and Everyone of You Very Much,
In Solidarity,
Tim Letson
