On May 28, 2005 an UAW Local 2195 Fishing tournament was held on Wilson Lake, beginning at Safety Harbor. This tournament had been rescheduled from an earlier date of May 07, 2005. The tournament boasted a full field of 18 boats that spent the day in search of bass. The winners of the tournament were:

1st Place – Larry Fulks & Jason Fulks with 13.27 pounds
2nd Place – Jerry Walker & Ty Walker with 10.85 pounds
3rd Place – Ray Tidwell & Danny Hardiman with 9.72 pounds
Big Fish Winner – Jason Fulks with a 3.66 pound bass

On June 04, 2005 a UAW Fishing Tournament was held on Wilson Lake. A total of nine boats were in the tournament that began at Fleet Harbor and ran from 5:00PM until 4AM. The winners of the tournament were:

1st Place – Rick Ooten & Jake Ooten with 12.47 pounds
2nd Place – John Sandy & Scott Sandy with 9.94 pounds
3rd Place - Ray Tidwell & Danny Hardiman with 8.95 pounds
Big Fish Winner – John Brown with a 2.29 pound bass

The next tournament of the season is scheduled for July 16, 2005 on Wilson/Pickwick Lake. The tournament will begin at Fleet Harbor and will run from 6PM-4AM. This will be a small mouth bass tournament. The tournament rules are:
Tournament Rules:

1. The June and July night tournaments will start and weigh in at Fleet Harbor, but you can fish either Wilson or Pickwick Lake.
2. No dead fish will be weighed.
3. All livewells will be checked.
4. All boats must include at least one (1) UAW member. The other can be a dependent of any 2195 member or anyone who qualifies under the vehicle purchase program.
5. All participants must be at the dock at the start and stop times.
6. The directors of the tournament will make a decision on bad weather by 8:00-10:00PM on the Friday before the tournament. In case of questionable weather call 552-5569 for th
e tournament status.
