2007 UAW Collective Bargaining Convention

The 2007 UAW Collective Bargaining Convention kicks off at 10:00AM Eastern time on Tuesday March 27, 2007 at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. Over 1500 delegates from local unions all across the country will be in attendance as the platform for this year's national contract talks will be decided.
The agenda for March 27, 2007 includes:

- Welcome from UAW President Ron Gettelfinger

- Report by UAW Secretary/Treasurer Elizabeth Bunn
- Address by Ohio Governor Ted Strickland
- Welcome by Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick
- Speech by Professor Harley Shaiken of the University of California at Berkeley

In addition, the delegates will begin the process of debating and approving resolutions submitted by local unions all across the country. Tune in to the Local 2195 website on March 27 for a detailed report on the days events. Local 2195 is being represented at the Convention by Greg Demike, Danny Dotson, John Hawkins and Bonita Culver.
